Heat is undesirable for the plant with small orange fruits. An acceptable summer temperature is 18-25°C, and winter temperature is 12-15°C.

Indoor cherry is a big lover of water. It needs to be watered with settled, soft, room temperature water without salt and chlorine, every two days as the top layer of soil dries out, and more often on hot days. Do not allow excessive waterlogging to prevent root rot. In winter, the plant is dormant, and watering is reduced to three times a month, observing the condition of the soil.
Soil and its feeding
The requirements for the composition of the soil in nightshade are not high. The main thing is that it is loose and nutritious. To do this, you need to take in equal parts:
- leafy soil,
- soddy soil,
- humus,
- peat,
- sand or perlite.

Transplanting
Young solanums are transplanted every spring. More mature Cuban cherry is transplanted once every three years, with mandatory pruning of the shoots by half.
Potato tree propagation
Seed propagation can be used throughout the year. Seeds are sown on the surface of the soil mixture. Cover with a thin layer of sand. Create a mini-greenhouse environment and place in a darkened place. After the seedlings germinate, they need to be transferred to a bright place. The grown seedlings are piked and transplanted to a permanent place.
Apical cuttings are used for propagation. They are rooted at a temperature of 22-25°C in a mixture of sand and peat.
Potato tree pests
Uninvited pests can be:
- aphids,
- spider mites,
- whiteflies,
- scale insects.
When they are detected, the plant is urgently treated with insecticides.
